    Control Panel

I ran the control panel once to set power settings. Once I closed it, I can't get it to reopen. Any ideas?

How did you get to the Control Panel, clicking the Settings item on the Start menu or right-clicking the Start button and choosing Control Panel? Changing the power settings shouldn't affect getting to the Control Panel.

I originally opened it from Start Button under Windows System. Now can't open it either way.

Just did the same thing yesterday. Control panel is in system 32 so sfc /scannow will fix it.

Nothing? What do you mean? The run box closes? Immediately or after some delay? What happens if you type notepad in the run box instead?

Is there anything in event viewer? +X then V?
