    Corrupted recycle bin

When I turn on the computer each day, I get a message "The Recycle Bin on G:\ is corrupted. Do you want to empty the Recycle Bin for this Drive\?" Drive G is where I have my Passport external drive for backup. Any suggestions on how to address and resolve this? Thanks.

Open elevated command prompt ( right click at Start button > click Command prompt (Admin) )
at the flashing prompt, copy and paste this (please use copy & paste to avoid typo)........................

    rd /s /q G:\$Recycle.bin

Note : G is in reference to your drive G:

If the above does not help, please do a system file check.
Open elevated command prompt > at the flashing prompt, copy/paste this......
    sfc /scannow
    > Enter.

If you have 7Zip you can also just delete the recycle bin, reboot, and windows will create a new on for that drive:
