The only thing which bothers me is the lack of pricing. Weather its subscription or one time fee.
They kept referring to it as a service.
Should have somewhat of an answer soon. That's the word on the interwebs

It is good to have everyone's opinion, but I must say Hater's gonna Hate
I was under the impression that 10's goal was to fix the mistakes of 8/8.1, namely the focus on metro.

All I've seen so far, in general, seems to be metro repackaged. What the hell was the point...??

    Where are the desktop improvements...??
Win 10's focus seems to be "full integration" and versatility. Not to go back or improve desktop experience but rather to go forward with the "metro" concept but making sure that desktop users will not be left out. And that's where "Continuum" comes into play.

We announced that a free upgrade for Windows 10 will be made available to customers running Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows Phone 8.1 who upgrade in the first year after launch.*

*Hardware and software requirements apply. No additional charge. Feature availability may vary by device. Some editions excluded. More details at Windows - Microsoft Windows.
That makes it sound like as long as you upgrade within the first year, it will be free. Makes it sound less like they're intending to start subscription pricing after the first year.

All in all... I thought it was pretty "awesome". The Continuum would work great on my Pro 3! Haven't figured out yet if I yank the keyboard/mouse dongle out of my desktop USB port, will it turn my desktop into a tablet?

Gotta see some confirmation on the "free" upgrade 7-->10.

Can't wait to see next build next week!

    Good deal!

This is more than a one-time upgrade: once a Windows device is upgraded to Windows 10, we will continue to keep it current for the supported lifetime of the device – at no additional charge.

Haven't quite decided whether Microsoft HoloLens is scary or cool, but one thing's for sure, it's gonna revolutionise the future of porn!

I agree, that's the really unclear part. I heard what Joe said, but will it turn into an Office type scenario? I have 7 and 8.1... Both? What, exactly, is "life of the device"?
