I'm kind of thinking we need a "We don't know yet" sticky thread some place. A lot of questions are being asked that there just aren't answers for. Not yet anyway.

So true.. at this point we have some idea of what MS is going to do but in the end all of the questions will be answered when the release comes.

Even though I posted this elsewhere, this should explain how Microsoft is going to do the windows 10 release free upgrade installation. To me it sounds like its all going to be done using windows update for the free upgrade version. I am also not taking a chance that Microsoft will block OEM keys once you have windows 10 installed, another words you won't be able to go back to the previous operating system. I am sticking with Windows 7.

*It is our intent that most of these devices will qualify, but some hardware/software requirements apply and feature availability may vary by device. Devices must be connected to the internet and have Windows Update enabled. ISP fees may apply. Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update required. Some editions are excluded: Windows 7 Enterprise, Windows 8/8.1 Enterprise, and Windows RT/RT 8.1. Active Software Assurance customers in volume licensing have the benefit to upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise outside of this offer. We will be sharing more information and additional offer terms in coming months.

Semantics, I know but I believe the D is for Delivery: Electronic Software Delivery.
