[IMAGE]Can't put items on the bottom row of desktop
When I try to place my recycle bin on the bottom row it just moves one row up.
I didn't had this issue before.
I did a system restore and it was on the bottom row for a couple of seconds and sudddenly it moved up ;(
I can place it on the bottom row if I change the text size to 100%, but that's too small. Is there any other way?

Check to see if Auto arrange icons is enabled. Right click desktop, left click view, is auto arrange checked?

-
Try calibrate the display. Press Win + R > type in -> colorcpl <- press Enter > Advanced tab > Calibrate display.

this isn't checked.

I still can't put things on the bottom row.

Looks like the bottom row is reserved. Just tried to move an icon there and it jumps back up a row on my laptop. So it is a feature, for some reason.

This is a 'feature' of Windows 10 which MS need to fix. Depending on what screen resolution and vertical icon spacing you have, you may be unable to use the bottom row. You can change the vertical icon spacing which may help - see https://www.tenforums.com/general-dis...cons-grid.html
I could place icons on the lower row with a reduced icon spacing but icons titles with 2 rows then overlapped! Beware of using the utility DesktopOK in the above thread since it caused addition problems on my PC.

Okay, Thank you.
I found something out btw.
If you have the row full till the gap then you can place icons in the gap.
Not possible to put the "ny map" folder on the bottom row:

I observed the same issue when display scaling was set to 110%. If prevented me from putting icons in bottom row and it also made icons in notification area to disappear. A funny workaround for the bottom row was to put some other icons into the second-from-bottom row temporarily and then put the desired icon under them. The temporary icons would "block" the bottom icon from jumping up. After that it is OK to remove the temporary icons - the bottom icon will stay in place. (This is essential the same workaround that you discovered)
Both the jumping bottom row icons and disappearing notification icons is a bug in Windows 10 triggered by rounding errors in 110% scaling mode. Switching to 109% scaling caused these issues to go away in my case.
Apparently the issue is there in 100% scaling mode as well for some display resolutions and icon spacing values.

Thank you, I'll use that work around for my recycle bin. That was the only icon I really wanted on the bottom row.
