DVD/CD Drive and Default Web Browser Setup

Received HP notebook for Christmas. Model 15-F211WM. Having problems with (1) making Mozilla Firefox the default web browser instead of Microsoft Edge; and (2) viewing DVDs (I insert DVD, drive whirs, lights flash, nothing plays, get no messages). How do you access the DVD drive anyway?

hello ,no dvd software on win10, I and a lot like me use 3rd party software VLC http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
right click on the windows icon lower right corner ,go to control panel/default programs, click set your programs , , find firefox in and list and click it ,then click to set this program the default ,good luck

Both suggestions worked like a charm!!! THANK YOU!! Now, how do I eject the DVD, other than pushing the button on the player itself.

open file explorer ,should be on the taskbar, click on this pc, on quick access the right side of the screen ,it should show the dvd icon ,just right click on it and hit eject
