From the Previews I've tested so far, I like it a lot! I think Windows is attaining far greater potential than anything in the past; of course, we'll see the 'light' a little more clearly in a week or two!

As far as cost is concerned:
On Friday, October 26, 2012, I had my cursor on "Add to cart" and my credit card in the other hand, so, I'll probably do the same this time.

Too early to say for sure but it's not worth wasting a copy of 7 so far 8 sure why not looks like Start8 still works well on 10.

That (keyboard loading) is before the OS (at least for me). Doesn't matter what OS I use. Possibly (probably) you can fix that. Give us some more details if you can.

It's also too early for me to be able to say but, since Win 7 is still working well for me, it's unlikely. What I've seen so far looks very promising but there are a few annoying details yet and, of course, the final product could be considerably different than what we have seen so far. It ultimately depends a lot on how many hoops I would have to jump through to install it, how much it would cost, how much work it would take to get to where I would be comfortable with it, and how compatible my current programs and hardware would be with it. I stayed with XP when I bought the desktop machine previous to my present one because Vissta had been out for a year at the time and I would have had to replace a perfectly good printer, a POS but otherwise functional scanner, and some software, one of which would have cost me $600 to replace. Even after Win 7 came out and I had finally replaced the printer and scanner due to wear aand tear and had gotten a smokin' deal on the software I needed to upgrade to, I waited until I had enough "miles" on the XP machine t have gotten my money's worth from it before replacing it (it was compatible only with Win 7 32 bit).

Windows 10 hasn't shown me her best yet, due to issues I'm having with the latest public build. I'm hoping the Consumer Preview later this month resolves so issues so i can test it out.

I like what they've done with the Start Menu enough that I'll give up Classic Shell. I can't tell if it is any faster than Win 8, due to my issues. I saw an improvement of Win 8 over Win 7, so I'm hoping to see another boost.

Though there is no debate, in my mind if I'll get it, the matter is if I can find a good deal when it is finally released. I have typically purchased the latest versions when it became available. I haven't skip any Windows OS yet.

I like the engagement MS has used with this version. I always wondered who their test audience was for Win 8, I always read statements that "based on our consumer panel discussions they would like to see ABC". I wondered who they were actually talking too. This version will have lots a early visibility to resolve issues and include features people are looking for.

Trust me, he's tried. His keyboard works fine in Win8 but not Win10. I think it's due to the issue with the numlock not working properly in Win10 B9879.

Sorry about that. I assumed (wrongly) you meant a built in laptop keyboard.

I'm liking the way Windows 10 is developing, I still prefer Windows 7 at the moment but the new ideas that are going to be implemented in the upcoming versions are great! I love the Cortana thing, it's something that could've been used in Windows 7 and 8. The new UI seems very interesting, a lot better/slicker than Windows 8/8.1. It seems like a whole new pack of ideas have been put into Windows 10 and I'm loving it. The only criticism I have against Win10 currently is the graphics, I don't like the bland and blunt lines, I much prefer the ones used on Windows 7, they seem better finished somehow. Other than that Win10 seems to have everything in order to become the best Windows ever.
