Another leaked image. Whether it's legit or not, it's pretty convincing!

Incidentally, I've installed Pale Moon which is obviously built on the Firefox platform & can't really see any reason to use in preference to Firefox (same goes for Waterfox).
    None of the australis nonsense.
That said, I switched over to "Cyberfox" today, as my Palemoon developed a weird lag. It's good to have choices.....

    Hi there
Things like FF are 3rd party applications so if they don't work like they did before or not to your liking it's hardly the fault of the OS --it's up to the developers to fix it; maybe it's because it's an obsolete application!

Have to kinda disagree here 'cause Microsoft's Frontpage works fine in OS's up to & including Windows 8.1 & works 99.99% in Windows 10 but crashes when opening a folder to insert a url; maybe it's because it's deemed an obsolete application!

I would have hoped that in developing a new OS, Microsoft would at least ensure that all current major application's functionality is maintained so as to encourage users to upgrade; currently there are a number of niggles which would prevent me upgrading from 7 to 10 unless they're fixed by Microsoft in Windows 10 & not to rely upon the 3rd party software developers.

    Hi there

Not sure who or what even REMEMBERS Ms Front page any more -- for designing web sites etc there are loads of better and more secure tools around -- if you really want really OLD legacy stuff to work IMO the best way is simply to run them in a VM. I'm sure for instance your old Front page won't support webkit or even HTML5 together with some of the more modern video formats.

While an OS should where possible be able to run reasonably recent applications - supporting really "Dinosaurial applications" can't possibly be expected all the time. That's another reason why using VM's is such a good idea.

    Cheers

What is the point of having the metro attached to the start menu, which you can open with one click, you can open the metro also in one click in Win8.

Besides it feels better to go to the apps menu via the metro, at least for me.

So yes, i am thinking of going back to Win 8.1, even if i am the only one here.
There is a setting to tell Windows 10 to use the Start Page, or the Start Menu. You can have it either way.
True Mystere and i worked that way in the beginning, changing it to the style everyone else likes and i was almost installling Win 8.1 again when someone here on the board waked me up.

So i just had to rechange that and now i will stay on WIn 10 for sure.

For those loving Win 7...enjoy for the few years left, but i really do not understand why you guys are stuck to this.

Maybe because it is the most close to XP.

    Whaw....

'Dinosaurial application' it may be & it would be fully functional in Windows 10 bar 1 small url related problem.

I've tried other utilities including Microsoft Expression Web 4 & Adobe Dream Weaver CS6 but have found them lacking , Frontpage does all that I need or want; as I said with Windows 10 not really offering anything really significant over Windows 7, I can't see me changing!

As I said before build 9841 wasn't more than fair, build 9901 was a disaster (i know it's a leaked buggy one), but build 9879 has almost convinced me !

I didn't like some points in build 9841, but hated everything in 9901 !

9901 is a leaked build and it is very buggy. I never tried it out because it was not official from MS.

    YMMV of course..
I finally installed build 9860. Not bad !

In terms of stability and performance it's quite similar to build 9879, and has found the newer build to update.

    Considering that all are alphas/pre-betas

    ~edited~

    9841 ~ Fair
    9860 ~ Good
    9879 ~ Good
9901 ~ Fair, with new features but more buggy

9901 on bare metal was a nightmare. In VMWare I was only able to install in EFI mode.

Hello, I'd like to tell my "Windows 10-story". Yeah, I'm new here =P

I used build 9840 and I maybe even upgraded to 9860, don't know it anymore, but after a time I went back to Windows 8.
Now, I installed 10 Preview again. I saw some upcoming features and I'm really excited.
