Having each on it's own ssd is really making things better than the dual boot method on a partition..
Machine expansion was well worth the 125.us costs to do so :)

I personally don't live in a no password world

Yep I always liked using bios for a boot manager.

Well, for the last months i was on the Win 10 forums, not so much, but never again on the Win 8 forums.

But i will change this, going back to the 8 forums, at least for a while. Will wait for the beta Win 10 but.....altough this is better than Win 7 (come on guys let's get serious....Win7?), i think i will go back to WIn 8.1 as said in another topic here on the board.

What is the point of having the metro attached to the start menu, which you can open with one click, you can open the metro also in one click in Win8.

Besides it feels better to go to the apps menu via the metro, at least for me.

So yes, i am thinking of going back to Win 8.1, even if i am the only one here.

I have 6 licences Win 8 right now, so sit sometimes on the pc next to me, well for me Win8 is not slower, at least not something you notice directly and everytime i think, what am i doing with Win10.

    Jeff

I hardly use the start button in Win10, maybe i must wait for Win11, 12 or 13 or wethever the new name will in the future.

    To each his/ her own,
7 is the best version ever released and the usage stat's state that fact
8 barely ever broke 15% and most of them will upgrade no matter what Microsoft serves in 10,
7'ers :/ no telling way to early to say for sure but myself No way

My copy of 8... is burned toast no matter what 10 is like :)
Whether I use 10 allot or as often as 8 which it's not even installed anymore time will tell

I have been reading in here a couple of weeks and have had to google a lot of terms. Thank you for letting me join since I am not a previewer. Learning is the main reason I love computers, I like nothing better than buying a new computer with a new OS, setting it up and learning to work it. W 7 (desktop )is my favorite system, but was very frustrating to learn, especially losing the quick launch, but because of that I learned to make my own. I bought a new W 8 laptop to see if it was as bad as users said and as long as there is another option like Classic Shell I will not use it. If the time comes when I have to learn it I will learn it because I have to. I upgraded to 8.1 to see what it was like and from reading about W10 in here, I will upgrade my Acer laptop to W 10 to try it. Thanks again.

There is a setting to tell Windows 10 to use the Start Page, or the Start Menu. You can have it either way.

I'm generally positive about 10 and find it pretty easy to use and there are some very good things about it. We have to keep in mind that this is only a preview and not even a Beta or Consumer Preview. I think a lot of things will be much better by the time it is released. That being said, maybe I'm just old and set in my ways, but I have seen little so far to make me want to move from 7 to 10, and I'm not a fan of the Direction Microsoft is going. They are headed for the cloud and tying everything to one account just like Apple and Google. For more than one reason, I'm not a fan of that. Maybe it's just me, but I have never wanted to be like everyone else and am not sure why Microsoft wants to be. Being different is not a bad thing, it's just different. But, as far as the OS is concerned, I think it could very well be an excellent OS, especially if they give us choices. There have been several comments in this thread about things some like and others don't. As long as they give options to where everyone can configure it the way they like it, it could be excellent. Whatever your opinion is now, I suspect it will change by the time the final release comes out.
