I just did this to my computer with the assistance of Microsoft Technical Support.
1. Use CTRL-ALT-DEL and select Task Manager
2. Select the option to create a NEW task from the menu.
3. In the open dialog box type powershell
4. Make sure that you check the box to create this task with administrative privileges.
5. Once powershell opens paste the text that is shown in the previous threads and repeated below.
Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
This worked on my computer and now all users have their start menu and search capability back.
