Missing features in windows 10 or i haven't searched good enough ?

I upgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 10 , strangely i am getting the sense this was more of a down grade where please let me discuss some features i am missing and if there were any way i can toggle them back :

1 - Monitored Connections could be easily accessed on near by Wifi list toggled by clicking the Wifi icon near clock and used to display data consumption since last reset , this option still exists in windows 10 ?

2 - in Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage : data usage is monitored this day to one moth back , this is entirely useless since usually people try to monitor their usage since last bill , windows 8.1 allowed resetting of counter in any specific day so the counter can report useful data you can use , any way to toggle that back ?

3 - Audio Mixer was replaced by a unified volume slider where to access mixer you have to do few clicks now , honestly if the idea was to simplify things most laptops / tablets nowadays boost hardware volume buttons or at least preset Fn keys so technically you would hardly need to use the volume icon but to access the mixer , researching this revealed that there was a registry tweak , after applying it i found out that actually it just replaces the aero unified volume slider by a system unified one which has a link to mixer , now that is still few clicks away , any mean to directly access the mixer in less hassle ?

4 - Near by Wifi list often crashes for me or show empty where i need to restart to fix it which is a pain , researching this turned out to be a global thing where alot of forums posted a fix and tried to relate this glitch to setting up a vpn pre-upgrading to windows 10 , i never had a vpn , and the fix did report that it can't find the registry keys required to delete , now is there anyway to like reloading wifi component than just restarting the system ?

Happy Holidays and thanks in advance

Did you report these using your Windows Feedback app on your All Apps menu? I suggest a separate report for each item rather than an omnibus report.

Hi, well observed. Consistency isn't exactly Uncle Microsoft's middle name. If you have an Atheros 9000 series card, as you've probably found many report this works fine in Win 8.1, not in 10. Otherwise consider trying the driver version previously used.

As a last ditch option if it's a driver issue, I surprised myself by finding one missing driver using DriverMax for my 64 bit laptop- Win 10 not supported by HP.

Well my laptop is Lenovo and the wifi card is Realtek RTL 8723 , Lenovo Drivers Support had no options of download but of the windows 8.1 version i used to have and the windows 10 release which dates back to july 2015 , Driver Booster reports i am on latest driver when i am on that or downloads it when i roll back to the other where near by list glitches all the same on both , Lenovo makes it hard to install drivers from other manufacturers as i recall when once tried since they rename devices used in hard code , mine has an additional BE as it shows in device manager , a year ago i tried something similar and nothing from other manufacturers worked

    As for
    3. Volume Mixer
    - rt click the louspeaker icon, click Volume Mixer.
    - a shortcut (and command)
Volume Mixer Shortcut - Create - Windows 7 Help Forums
(Once you have a shortcut you can assign a hotkey)

And for interest: 7+ taskbar tweaker lets you control the volume with your scroll wheel when you hover over the taskbar.

Well I just did as per request despite that I had the feeling earlier it'd be a waste of time since this thing would most probably be flooded with nothing less but a billion request / problem , and like i thought first highlighted issues were people reporting not being listened to or their issues are still not solved since few months so i really doubt this thing would hardly make a difference .

+Rep for sure , well despite that it stacks task bar by yet another icon but still a convenient work around :)

I also suffered some features not working. As soon as the Win 10 Home upgrade installed and I connected to the net to activate my upgraded Windows 8 -->8.1 licence, I clean installed 10 Home and I got full functionality. (For example, Cortana didn't use voice recognition before the clean install but it did after)

anybody who worked with microsoft some would know that clean installs solve almost everything and restarts solves remaining issues , but honestly this isn't a solution for all , specially after you use your device for a couple of years and then you have heaps of customizations and installed apps , then it becomes like killing your baby !
now what surprised me is that i thought peeps in MS must have probably learnt their lesson through their history when they decided to deal that risky bluff of letting a huge portion of their clients upgrade in one go , but then my mistake , one can't just neglect 20 years of screw ups and fall for their bluff just because they decided to go "all in".
