    Windows 10 Broken Autoplay

    Hi,

I have a strange issue where autoplay is not working for SD cards. I have a toshiba laptop with a built-in Realtek USB 2.0 Card Reader, and when I insert an SD card, I get no autoplay notification. It doesn't appear in the notification center, nor do I get a popup. I am able to see the SD card in This PC, browse files on the SD card just fine, I just get no popup. I tried updating the drivers, I tried a new user profile, I tried turning autoplay features on and off, I tried a registry fix to allow for autoplay to work, and nothing has worked so far.

Has anyone else run into this issue and can shed any light on it for me?

Not sure what media types are on your SD card, but maybe this will shed some light or point you in the right direction. Autoplay does not work for my SD card reader. - Microsoft Community
