    After a Windows Upgrade, by default, after 30 days it will delete itself, but if you wish, you can also remove the Windows.old folder manually, running disk cleanup and selecting the option to remove older versions of windows is the easiest way. Be sure to copy any files that you may want out of the Windows.old folder before you delete it. Once deleted, they are gone, you will no longer be able to go back to a previous version of Windows.
