I get that over protective crap on one outlook.com email address constantly it is infuriating to do simple basic security info updating and a soon to follow 30 hold of the account
I get that in Office every now and then. Strange thing is that it didn't have anything to do with opening "Documents". I was inserting a hyperlink when that popped up. It could be that I just reinstalled 10TP because of blue screening and therefore installed Office again. Also changed my password recently. It also may be due to opening files in OneDrive. Not really sure what causes it.

I Never get it with my live.com account within the Store Mail app. How often do you get the popup?

"Soon to follow 30 hold of the account"? May I ask what that means?

Yes, I will get it on at least one computer, probably a Notebook. I have clients who undoubtedly will have questions, especially those still on WinXP and Vista who haven't upgraded yet. Most of those will need new computers. Sometimes it's necessary to try to duplicate what the clients see so I have Vista, Win7, Win8.1, Mac OS X and Linux computers, at the moment only the Vista is off.

30 day hold is an automatic item that pops up just by attempting to alter security information,
This could be just simply updating a alternate email address or even password... any security stuff :/
How often well does it happen = every time I try it's happen three times so far it's like I have to say "mother may I" change this info or can you mighty Microsoft do it for me

Microsoft does not like new accounts or something I'm scared to attempt to change my password on my Hotmail account that I've have forever good thing it has a good password :)
Otherwise Microsoft message is spot on Over protective nonsense
To this day the alternate email address still shows wrong after trying 3 times to change it I've pretty much given up

Ok, so how did you delete the Gmail account? Within the Store app, Outlook.com, or Gmail online?

The only way to delete a email address is within the email account you want to delete
    So yea gmail,
    About 6 mounts ago,

It's wait and see for me. I don't see anything to make me want to switch from 8.1 to 10 at this time. I'm not a fan of the new Start Menu so what they do with that has no influence on me. I hope those that want it get what they want, as long as its optional as far as using it goes. If they actually get Snap to work correctly for Metro Apps, I'll be happy to have another go at trying it. For now though I'll stick with 8.1.

To absolutely delete it out of existence, yes. What I was referring also to was deleting the account within the Mail app. They should have terms for this such as piggyback so there's no confusion.

So, this account doesn't exist at all. Did you go into your Outlook.com account online to try to straighten things out?

Did you delete the gmail account before or after you changed the email address on you MS account? If you deleted the gmail account first, maybe MS sent a code to your gmail account to verify the address change.

Yea I did delete the email account before I realized where my outlook.com's alternate email was being sent,
Microsoft support has said twice they have changed it to Hotmail.com address but as the image shows it does not reflect any changes,
I believe I'm on my third 30 day hold it could be more I've lost track
Everytime the hold is over and I attempt to update it it shows the same send code to email address "for confirmation" then spins me back to a 30 day hold
I guess I have to just abandon the account :/
