I'm sure that sooner or later I'd have to go for it but how soon is a question of what it would be like as finished product. One thing is sure, I'm sticking to it as secondary system all the way until end of RC and time I will have to pay for it. Only than it will be final decision on "When". I like what I have seen until now and by the time of final decision I will have at least as much experience and knowledge of it as with W8/8.1.
I'm pretty much committed. I converted my (licensed) 8.1 Pro to a VM just in case and then upgraded my PC to TP. Have been running TP since October with no real issues - all of my software works fine. I only start up 8.1 to get updates occasionally.
It would be a bore to go back to 8.1 so (assuming it is possible) I'll upgrade to TP 10 as soon as it is available. Hopefully the 8.1 licence can be transferred in some way in which case I'll just scrap the 8.1 VM. If it is prohibitively expensive I'll just keep running 8.1 as a VM on some other OS. I cant really imagine any scenario I'd actually restore back 8.1 as main system OS but you never know. 10 would have to suddenly take a major turn for the worse as I'm happy with it as it is.
Not likely to upgrade to Windows 10 as, for me, it doesn't offer the much talked about 'return of the Windows 7 Start Menu'. I've installed Start8 which is brilliant at replicating Windows 7 Start Menu & does allow me to simply switch between a Start Menu & Tiles Screen without having to log out & back in again - something which Microsoft should have incorporated in Windows 10.
I've a few programs that don't work with either Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 which function 100% in Windows 7.
So, for me it's currently 100% against Windows 10.

The good news here is that the Win10 BSOD forum is pretty dead - so I may be out of a job there!
I will hang on to Win 8 as long as I can and won't install W10.
But that's not Windows (it is now, but it's not suitable for a desktop mutitasking user)
So, why are you rushing to see the end of a desktop Explorer interface? After all, if we examine Windows 8x's lack of success, it came from the many (albeit wrongly) disenchanted users made to feel that the Explorer shell was being relegated to history? So it shows that as an "anti-desktop" campaigner, you are on an island with only a few other people.
I said "no" as well, and I like Windows 8.1 but only because the Metro crap can be hidden. For those who are proponents of Windows 10, I don't see what you're missing in 8.x that makes 10 TP a "must" upgrade".
These 8'ers don't seem to realize 10 is to bring 7'ers onboard
I can't say at this point that Microsoft has done that yet,
As of now the settings don't exist to get rid of the most annoying quirks of 10 now
Start button is in no way an improvement it might as well be dropped if that's as good as Microsoft is willing to offer :/
In the end if Bing is killable it might be okay but as it stands start10 will have to be used and I already have that in 8.1 so where's the actual incentive 10 will have to be dirt cheap or free :)
Then start8 will have to work since it's already purchased
Who would like to place a bet that at least 90% of those who say no will buy a copy and use it as soon as the RTM hits the street. . .anyway my answer is a resounding "YES." I like win 10 even though at the moment I am not ready to use it as a primary OS. AS to what do I want in windows 10. . .just that it works and looks half way decent. For me it's the idea of moving forward not staying in one place or looking back
