Windows 10: PC randomly shuts down.
Ok, this happens only on a cold boot. Again unless PSU has an issue now or recently had added more hardware then might say not enough wattage, but had same hardware for months. So if the PSU there is another issue with it then this. Sure applied thermal paste correctly ? Since do not have integrated graphics be kind of hard to test if it is the card unless you had another graphics card, said something about a dead one tho. When PC does stay on i would use HWMonitor look at the temps and voltage of the PSU, can post a screen capture of it.
To the left is the free version http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
Ones pointed out on PSU voltage seem a bit low, temps on System seem o.k.. Did not go down to the Graphics card. When this shuts down randomly it never restarts right away or does it do it while using the PC ?
Thanks for your help.
It only randomly shuts down as soon as its finished post. Not while using windows
Do you use a surge protector ? Can you try plugging the PC directly into an outlet or move to another room and use that outlet, surge protector can be a cause. Other failing hardware can be a cause,RAM, CPU, Video card and Motherboard. Recently reapplied thermal paste is this when issue happened afterwards ?
The issue only started happening when I upgraded to Windows 10.
I do use a surge protector. I will try plugging directly in to wall outlet tomorrow.
I dont get any bios beeps either.

Have you tried resetting BIOS to default/optimized settings?
Also, did you upgrade your video drivers yourself or did you let Windows decide?
How long has it been since you upgraded to Windows 10 ? Rare case surge protector is bad.
Its been a month now. Ive tried plugging directly in to wall socket but problem is still there.
Ive ordered a new psu to see if that will fix it.
Ive ordered the corsair rm650x psu.
Thanks everyone for your help.
Would not of suggested to order something right away, but that was up to you. Did your own work on this PC that is good that you can, reapply of thermal paste was done while you had the issue, correct ?
have made sure that all the settings i can find in power options for shutting the PC down when idle are either set to never or disabled but must have missed something somewhere? after 20 minutes or so the PC shuts itself off..... any ideas?
