Windows 10: disable public folder sharing using netsh - win10
disable public folder sharing using netsh - win10
I know how to disable Network Discovery or File and Printer Sharing via the following command lines:
netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group="Network Discovery" new enable=no
netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group="File and Printer Sharing" new enable=no
But I didn't find a way to disable Public Folder Sharing using cmd or reg, any idea?
Also is there a way to set the current Lan network connection as metered via registry or command prompt?
Upgraded one of my PC's yesterday(7/29) from 7 Home Premium to 10. Now the other two PC"S in my home, both 8.1, cannot see the public folder of the 10 PC. 10 can see the 8.1 just fine.
Tried typing to users/public into the explorer address bar...
I run an info@ email address.
I've just taken on a part-timer who's got her own name@ email address.
Certain emails come in via info@ that I categorise under her name. I've then got a search folder that picks up everything in that category.
I've got a problem in stopping sharing some folders across my home network. Not sure if it matters, but I'm on Windows 10 Pro, running my admin user account.
Anyways, I have a folder I want to unshare from my network called Pictures2...
I Upgraded to Windows 10 two days ago, I shared one of the folders on my desktop and now I can't close the share.
When I click stop sharing on both the ribbon and the context specific menu, after I right click the folder, nothing happens.
After upgrading to Win 10 on both my PC & HP laptop, folder sharing worked even with my wife's Mac. Oddly, now the only one that works is PC to Mac. All folder sharing fails between my PC & HP laptop.
I've checked my shared folders to be sure...
