Windows 10: Screen won't start
Ok. Can u send me a link to how to do it?
I started my quest here;
Be very careful whenever you mess with the BIOS, you can easily render the PC totally inoperable. Flashing the BIOS is the very last procedure to try if you have ruled out everything else. I am stepping out now, but if you are still having this problem when I return I will find the link to the thread that I started over at Bleeping Computer.
Your BIOS settings have nothing to do with the fact you have changed permissions on your hard drive. At least, that's what you SAID you had done.
Please can you confirm that you see ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on your screen when you start your PC, and cannot even get into your BIOS settings (if you're using BIOS). If that's what you truly mean, then
- both your BIOS (or hardware) isn't working
- and you have changed permissions on C:
I find it hard to believe both are true..
If that is true, what connection is there between that and you saying you had changed permissions on C:?
I think when I did that I locked my c drive
And my drivers where on it so I locked everything
Nope, you're right a system restore wouldn't . Though what he did shouldn't stop him from starting his system up, I just try what he did and was able to load windows . A repair reset options will at least get him to load windows if he can't now and get some of his data . But in the end you're right he should create a W10 disc and do a clean install
Ok I will do that and see
If a Repair System Reset get you back into windows? Get your data and then do a clean install with a windows iso disc or usb which ever . Once you have your system up and running the way you want it do a Backup Image of your system with Macrium reflect free, this why you wouldn't have the headache you now have
Macrium Reflect Free
So how is the computer now?
This thread is meant to showcase the new Windows 10 Start menu with tiles or the more familiar Windows 8 Start Screen.
You can use either the Start Menu or Start Screen by following Brink's Tutorial
On startup, I have it set to display the Start Screen without the Start Menu. When I exit an app the Start Menu is displayed and I have to click the Windows icon to once again display only the Start Screen (tiles only).
Start Menu or Start Screen won’t close after clicking a tile of Windows 7 Games. I installed the Windows 7 Games on a Windows 10 machine. It works on the main (admin) account. It, however, has this glitch on a non-admin account, when opening one of...
How to Change to Use Start Menu or Start Screen in Windows 10
This tutorial will no longer work starting with Windows 10 build 10041 released on March 18th 2015.
You can use this instead: How to Turn On or Off to Use Full Screen Start in...
Looked around and didn't see this exact piece of news in any threads. Lock me if old.
Imo, I just hope they won't still try to make live tiles down our throats. That's my biggest hunch about the rumored Win8 Update 2 Start Menu.
