    cmd.exe wont start as admin

Hi. I have had no issues at all for months, all of a sudden i can't open cmd as admin anymore, i can open it if i use "power run" and it opens cmd as admin with trusted installer. How can i fix it? i don't have restored point. Can we check registry to fix it or is there another way?

    cmd.exe wont start as admin-cmd.png

Maybe we can fix it in "Environment Variables"??

EDIT: its not only that, i now cant start some services i get access denied 5, its like i lost my admin rights out of nowhere, but i am admin it says so when i check.

Does the expected Admin prompt appear?
Does it let you click on the Yes button then bring up that error dialog afterwards?

Does the problem exist in another Admin account, assuming you already have one?
Does the problem exist in Safe mode?

Security becomes very complicated under Windows Folder...

Check that the Administrators and users group has at least read and execute on cmd.exe

Do you have the same results when right click and run as admin on cmd.exe ?

If security configuration has been disrupted in your Windows folder...

There is Tweaking.com that have a tool that can restore Windows folder security to default...

YES!! I managed to think deeply and then realized maybe its because i used Tweaking.com - Windows Repair to restore default permission on c: drive. I thought "hmm maybe if i go into safe mode and do it again?" and this time it fixed the problem. It broke my rights because i did the repair in non-safe mode, and i guess something were in use when doing it, but in safe mode it worked. cmd.exe wont start as admin-permis.png

    1: YES
2: I dont have another, just this one that always been an admin and i never had this issue
3: NO, in safe mode I'm an admin and everything works
If i use the software "PowerRun" i can open cmd as admin

Oh! This happens when i open Secpol.msc! cmd.exe wont start as admin-secpol.png

WOW!! Malwarebytes Exploit protection is the culprit!!! No one has said this, i found nothing on google. I just was lucky that i tried disable the exploit and it works!!! And when i turn it on, i cant access it anymore! no admin rights to cmd or secpol. cant even open secpol. I dont know why its like this all the sudden when i had no problems with that ON in malwarebytes! wtf
EDIT: i had exploited penetration ON.. i know malwarebytes said to never enable it. Anyway i disabled it, its weird that it worked all along but now all of a sudden it wont work with it on

Glad you figured it out. Hopefully if someone else is experiencing this rare problem, they can find this Thread from a search engine.

Here's more info about Exploit Protection on MalwareBytes' website:
    https://support.malwarebytes.com/hc/...oit-Protection

I'm assuming since you enabled this feature, it really restricts a lot of things on your computer. So assuming a hacker was in your computer, and they try running commands in cmd.exe as an Admin, then they would be able to ruin a lot of things on your computer. Hence, this feature disables so many applications, even Windows based applications, that could possibly cause harm to your computer, if someone attempts to run unwanted commands.

    Hi!
Every time if I confront any misbehavior situation I always scan for malicious tasks.
