Since this morning Windows 10 "Auto-Hide the taskbar" function is not working despite proper settings.
Any suggestion?

"Try restarting File Explorer or Windows Explorer" option worked for me
Fingers crossed... and sorry for the post, I google all morning for a solution and couldn't find it.

Go to Task Manager
Scroll to 'Windows Explorer'
Right click
Click 'Restart'
This appears not to be a permanent fix as I have discovered. However it works for a long time.
I have just had to repeat this tonight having done so about a week ago.
Make sure your peek button is unticked
Also make sure your locked button is unticked as well
Then it should auto hide ok
I was having trouble with the auto hide not working despite proper setting (Win 10).... i stumbled upon a fix. I was doing the setting with the right-click/properties approach. one afternoon i was doing something else and happen to be in "Settings"( through start menu/settings/personalization then... "show-hide task bar"switch. There seems to be something wrong with the right click shortcut option. but THIS worked! Yey!
