I just recently upgraded a friends laptop to Windows 10 10586.The double logo problem is apparent but goes away after 2 seconds. Seems like with some systems they are just speeding up the process, not fixing it.

I would love if someone who doesn't have the double boot loader issue would post it on youtube. I just recently posted a video of the double boot loading issue on youtube.

Am on windows 10 build 10586.71. Created an account just because the booting issue has been irritating me so damn much.

The moment i boot my laptop up, i get the manufacturers logo and laggy spinning dots, which stays there for exactly 30secs. But once it reaches login screen i takes less than 10secs to desktop. Microsoft have better fix this man cmon.

I found a temporary work around that works for me - LARGE RAID volume

    Hello,

I'm running Windows 10x64 pro 1511-10586.71 on a system with an i7-6700k and 16GB of DDR4 memory and a Samsung 950pro m.2 boot drive no software is on my raid. I spent about 20 hours uninstalling and reinstalling software as it eventually creeped in at some point and will come back despite making system restore points and restoring to times when logon was fast - it won't logon fast on a restore!

I've uninstalled my NVidia drivers completely and disabled MS update - installed the latest NVidia drivers. I don't have a hidden startup taskbar. I have the latest firmware and drivers on EVERYTHING. I have disabled fast boot in power and the bios - none of those worked in my case but might for others.

So I notice often if I remove my RAID card I can logon fast. Most of my data is on my raid - (Adaptec 81605zq (wait for the LSI 9271-16i if you can the 81605zq is slower than my old 9271 but doesn't have enough drive capacity). Often when I put it back in my system will power up from a complete (not hibernate) shutdown and logon quickly but EVENTUALLY it will logon slow again.

FYI - Defender is set to exclude my ENTIRE RAID partition/volume but it doesn't matter - defender still causes the issue and I can hear it on my drives when it is enabled.

I've gotten this trick to work 2 times so far which is far more than any other trick I've tried set my LARGE (100TB) raid volume to offline. turn off pc - still slow logon. Disable defender turn off. Turn on - FAST LOGON - put raid volume online, turn on and enable defender. Turn off FAST LOGON again. TUrn off and turn on - still fast logon. Now eventually I'll do something and it will have a slow logon again but this gets me around it for a while.

FYI - I use this reg to turn off defender (giving credit where credit is due - not me)

And this reg to turn it back on (still need to go into defender after running this reg file -

Update - I had enabled a piece of hardware and the slow logon happened again. JUST disabled defender this time - cold booted twice and logon is fast and enabled defender - cold booted again - fast logon still.

Installed insider preview 14267 and what do you think? no fix ofcourse. Did any of you guys reported the problem to MS through the feed back option? I have reported it after each regular update aswell after an insider preview update. Didn't do any good though.
