But it does upset me that the bug exists. I've used autohide in the past.

Just done a test. On my computer, i have a Microsoft account and a local account. Auto hide taskbar takes forever to log into the Microsoft account, but fast on the local account. Stupid
Just done a clean install on a Gateway laptop, updated to 10586.122 Windows 10 Home. No slow login with Auto hide taskbar checked.
Also test Windows 10 PRO 10586.122. Slow login present on Microsoft Account. Not present on local account.
Also decided to test Windows 10 Home on my main system. No slow login on auto hide on either Microsoft account or local.
Seems to be an issue with only the Pro version of Windows. At least by what I see.
Among others I have a laptop with an Intel(R)core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20 Ghz and I’ve a desktop with an Intel(R)core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40 Ghz. The desktop uses windows 10 pro and the laptop use windows 10 home. They both have the login problem. The thing they have in common is their chipset. It is Intel(R) 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset. On both machines the chipsets has the latest drivers. So could it be the chipset?
The laptop I used had an AMD A8 4500M @ 1.9 GHZ whilst my desktop has the 990FX. It could be a possible problem between AMD and Intel chipsets
Ok, did some testing the last ±48Hrs by formatting/reloading numerous times, installing drivers/software & restarting after each install.
I seem to have found the culprit on my side .... INTEL MANAGEMENT ENGINE
After that was installed the slow welcome screen was back ... uninstalled it again and it was normal again ... 15.4sec fast to be exact.
Re-install management engine ... back to slow .... so I have made the decision to omit whatever this install actually does.
...for now, Im happy again
@ Jigsaw: Yesterday windows update gave me an update of intel management engine (imei). But II can’t uninstall it. I’ve tried revo uninstaller, the regular way through programs and undo installed updates. It is nowhere mentioned and to be found. So how did you uninstall yours?
Mine was installed off the motherboard DVD, which created an Intel Management Engine Program which could be clicked and uninstalled under "programs & features" in control panel. ?
EDIT: a Google search gives me this :
Installation folder: C:\Program Files\Intel\Intel(R) Management Engine Interface
Uninstaller: C:\Windows\system32\heciudlg.exe -uninstall
