Hey guys. Its pretty annoying having an SSD, and then this delay after login
So I discovered my problem in the event viewer, under system, after login, it spent time on resolving these addresses.

Name resolution for the name win10.ipv6.microsoft.com. timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.
    (took 7 seconds after winlogin)

Name resolution for the name ctldl.windowsupdate.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.
(took 5 seconds after ^^ previous)

    then finally, third party one,
Name resolution for the name ping3.teamviewer.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded.
    (another 4 seconds)

So thats about 16 seconds "hang time".

Windows 10 probably assumes your always connected to the internet.

I am not sure though, how to get it to stop doing this unnecessary task on boot. Teamviewer i can understand. Ipv6, you could disable it probably under networking, but then your home networking gets all in a knot.

I have the same issue with boot on 10586. I also had an issue where after the upgrade I had 3 Recovery partitions, which some people have stated that the old recovery partitions are not big enough to handle the winre environment.

I went back to 10240 and the boot and system issues are no longer there.

The insider preview 11099 is supposed to have fixed the boot issue, but I'm not in the loop for insider builds.

Lucky me I don't have this problem of slow login time but I had to fix this on my sister's HP Pavilion dv6 laptop around Christmas time.

I was thinking video drivers but windows said it had the latest. Device manager showed an AMD AND Intel driver - bit of a surprise as I hadn't come across the hybrid video setup before. I noticed a couple of you mentioned this is what they had as well.

Anyway, looking at the C: drive I saw a folder called WU-CCC2 dated 23 Dec 2015. The long and short of it is that this was an update for the Catalyst Control Centre. I updated it and since then her comp has logged in just as it should.

In her case, it was darned Nvidea drivers but I was mightily pleased at the instant, and permanent, fix I stumbled upon.

Now, I have no idea whether this is relevant to any of you, but if my story starts to ring any bells, you could give it a go.

    Good luck to you all.

Nvidea drivers & Catalyst Control Centre ... 2 completely different beasts ??

    I also don't think it's IPv6 ... Mine is disabled

Mine is not related to ipv6 due to not being connected to a network.

    All drivers are the latest.

This is a MS Bug and its still not fixed even with the new update release

Mine is not fixed. But there seems to be two boot issues: the double boot logo and the long login screen. I have the long login screen (30 sec) and that is not fixed. Since I don’t have the double boot logo I can’t say anything about that. But if that seems to be fixed I’m glad for all of you who were having that problem.
