After tonight's updates lost Store and Edge's icons

    Hi there :)

After tonight's updates, this morning I've seen that Store and Edge's icons are white square.

When last night I turned off the PC I noticed there was an update and this morning a page of Edge, What's new (get started), opened and the icon on the taskbar was a white square. Then searching for an app in the store I saw that the icon was the same: a white square. (see the screenshots)

    I did a "sfc / verifyonly"

    Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.10240]
    (c) 2015 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>sfc /verifyonly

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.
What can I do now to restore that icons?

    Thanks for any help :)

    Hello Lio, :)

You might see if rebuilding the icon cache may be able to help with this as well.

All you have to do is unpin from taskbar, then start menu -> All Apps and then select the app and pin to taskbar for each one.

Thanks Shawn, before trying this I have a question...

If I rebuild my icon cache, will I lose my icon
    customizations ?

No, they'll be fine. It will only clear the icon cache and force them to reload to update the cache.

I just fixed my icons this way:

open Windows PowerShell in Administrator mode by typing Powershell in search then run the following:
    Code:
    Add-AppxPackage -register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsStore_2015.10.5.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode
    Code:
    Add-AppxPackage -register "C:\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\appxmanifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode
You may have to do the pin/unpin task bar if it doesn't update immediately.

Hi Almighty1 and thanks for your help.

    I did all but useless...
In the start menu the icons are ok, but in the taskbar are still white square. And (if my memory is ok) the same Edge icon in start menu is different from before. The first one was like 3D, this one is like a normal IE icon with an "E" in blue on a qhite square completely flat.
