Exactly when is the cutoff for the free upgrade?
I have a small Dell desktop I bought new about a year ago and it came with 8.1.
I know it's eligible for the 10 upgrade and it does have the "Get Windows 10" icon in the system tray.
If 10 was launched on July 29 2015, does that mean I can do the install for free any time between now and July 29, 2016? That seems to be the implication but I've never seen any "official" statement that specifies that date as the deadline.
Will still I have the option to roll back to 8.1 for 30 days from whenever I do the install? I seem to recall reading that the roll back option ends this month (October).
Thanks
