    That was unexpected

Went out to lunch, came home, message that I needed to change my password, did so, new build of Windows 10 had installed itself, completely blew away my iTunes library and my Dropbox synched library, won't install Dropbox, my toolbar has been re-set. Just a total cluster***

    Hi

I haven't installed ITunes yet but I do use WinAmp as my Media Center.
And yes it totally messed that up after the update.

I had to uninstall it, reinstall it and redo all my preferences.

Didn't ask me to change my password though.

That reminds me that I haven't installed Dropbox yet either.

    Another thing to do.

A lot of stuff was broken and the performance slowed down after the upgrade. And with all those mess, comes all types of errors that hogs the entire system down. When I created the ISO and reinstalled the latest build, it was an entirely different experience. No errors, no issues and very, very fast. Wipe out your upgraded version and do a clean install with 9860 ISO. You won't regret it.

I totally agree and I did the same thing today. Made a copy of the ISO from the ESD and installed it without a hitch.
    Now 9860 runs very well.

I'm guessing they've screwed up access to the user directories. Dropbox can't access my Roaming Data and Google Chrome keeps saying it doesn't have permission to access my credentials information (despite several logouts, logons, re-boots etc.

    Here's something else unexpected:
I've lost BitLocker Drive Encryption from Control Panel!
    Anyone else experiencing this?

I did an in-place upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium straight to 9841, then an in-place upgrade to 9860, and had no problems. My iTunes library is fine, DropBox is fine, etc. Everything seems OK to me. Some folks have problems and some don't... I have no idea what the common denominator might be, but it isn't upgrading per se.

I should add that my web pages don't render text correctly in IE - only every second or third character displays

Check Windows Update to see if you have all the updates installed.
