No Option to Pin to Start

Hey guys. no matter what I try, I'm unable to pin to start - this is the standard 10240 build. Win 10 Pro (my desktop)

I believe I had the ability to pin in the past but now all of a sudden it just doesn't exist.

Even if I drag is shows a circle with a cross through it.. Any ideas here?

I think you need to drag it from the "All Apps" list to the start and wiggle it a round a little, until Bill's minions, get the clue as to what you're trying to do and then expand it into a tile. I've not tried dragging from the "Most Used" list and I'm not currently on my 10 machine to try it, but logic tells me that it "SHOULD" work from there also, but it is, after all, Windows! There have certainly been more glaring errors released in the past!

HI Gene! I have two machines and I was able to try what you said on one and it works great. the other (the system with the issue) I'm not sure. I'll have to test that later today.. I'll let you know what I find but something tells me that it won't work.

Also try and make them smaller you may find they work better then, just resize them

Right click on what you want will move it to start then resize it

Seems like a bug or some thing not installed properly.
The image I posted is with them all resized, you did right click and try it.
Also don't forget I don't have IE11 installed or CROME

Hi, I'm finding the same issue. And just posted a slight variation of it. I'm coming to the conclusion it's been missed out properly in windows 10. It seems to keep some legacy parts from win7 update and not implement the feature itself i windows 10.

Did you upgrade from 7, that could be the reason.
If our posted upgraded from 7 or 8 then we may have found the problem.
I upgraded from windows 8.1 and down sized them in that OS as well.

Think we may have found the answer.
    Windows 8.1.
Think if you and OP had of gone to 8.1 Then 10 you and him might of been able to get them smaller.
My laptop came new with 8.1 on it.
In the old control panel if I want to go back (which I don't) I am only able to go back to windows 7.
Hope I have helped hopefully clear up what the problem is, and hope soon they come up with a fix for it.
