How to get rid of Bing popping up?

Good Afternoon All,
Since this forum always solves my problems I hope someone will kindly solve this one.
When I don't use my computer for a while it goes dark and then when I click the mouse I have to click on my name and click sign in. When I do so Bing shopping or something from Bing comes up and covers the page I was on and I have to X it out. How can I get rid of that?

Did that but nothing in settings says disable Cortana.

If you get an answer that works,let me know. Have disabled Bing in settings. Stopped using Edge because it automatically defaults to Bing, even when you tell it not to. Now Firefox (whenever a new tab is opened) defaults to Bing (even though it is set to Google UK and even though Bing is taken out of search options).

Have changed the Windows 10 settings, have changed the search options in Firefox, etc.
