yes i have my gtx980 installed, could you tell me what options i need to turn off in bios then? ill try to access it by plugging in the monitor into the motherboard instead of the graphic card once more then
It depends on the BIOS manufacturer, what options you get. In mine all I can do is set the order it looks in. Onboard, PCIe, PCI. I can only ever use one of the three options at one time. Even then it seems to just auto detect what's plugged in. If I remove my GT 640 the onboard works, plug it back in and it doesn't. Newer motherboards though with hybrid SLI etc can use both at the same time.
actually you wont believe it.
the problem is my new soundcard : sound blaster z
the problem occures as long as it is plugged into a pci e slot.
now my question is: why does a soundcard produce a phantom monitopr wtf?? guess that wouldnt have happened on w7
Hard to say if that would have happened under 7. For now I'd go to the SoundBlaster web site and make sure it's compatible with 10. If so look for current drivers and load them.
l *Some motherboards reserve the PCI Express x16 slots for video cards only. Use a x1 or x4 slot
instead. For more information, consult the documentation of your motherboard. Could be this, from the soundblaster manual.
So you could try this. Put it in PCI E 5
Then go into the bios and set a lower link speed.Set it to a low speed
or even try slot 6
actually it was in the bottom slot i dont think this one is reserved for graphic cards..
didnt want to put my graphic card next to the power supply (pcie 6) and i didnt want to put the soundcard (pcie4) next to the graphic card (pcie2) because of the fans didnt want them to reduce the cooling because the soundcard blocks the fans..
