file explorer shows usb drive twice

    file explorer shows usb drive twice


    hi, i have an annoying problem. when i plug a usb drive, the file explorer shows the same drive with the same drive letter twice. it's no big deal but annoying like i said.. how can i fix this

    In file explorer collapse "this PC" then you will just have the usb drive showing once. It shows in the tree of "this pc" and the usb drive also shows as external.

    That is not a solution. Not only is the designed behavior stupid, it can be confusing and is certainly a waste of screen real estate. Click to open File Explorer and it automatically displays This PC and also the attached USB drives. We shouldn't then have to collapse the This PC view.

    This is the same idiotic behavior as displaying Libraries and This PC.
