    Videos will not play

Worked fine yesterday and now today any browser that tries to load a video freezes. Any video I try to start with media player or VLC just starts to load up and stops, nothing happens.

Have been searching for fixes, Cleared internet history cache, checked in control panel for video options .

No clue how to try reinstalling flash to see if that is the problem because its built into windows 10.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Does not seem like it is just related to flash player or browsers since does the same on media player and VLC.
Make sure have most recent display drivers from NVIDIA. Also any system restore points before this happened you can go back to ?

No system restore, funny because i just checked it seconds before.

Will try Upgrading Nvidia drivers but I am good with upgrading them because I run NVidia GEforce and it tells me when a new one is available.

You would be amazed how many websites have videos. The website freezes up, including sometimes my gmail. Pretty annoying.

Installing a new driver now, fingers crossed.

Not amazed i know, i have been around a long time. Since said not only internet videos, leads me to more of a cause with system. Which browsers give you issues, all ?
In control panel upper right corner in search box type troubleshoot, select troubleshooting, then go to hardware and sound try run some troubleshooting.

All browsers. Updating video drivers did not help.

Troubleshooting could not find a problem

Definitely not just videos on internet, but also videos on Windows Media Player ? For browsers which ones are you using and do they have latest adobe flash installed, did you receive all Windows updates ? PC know which type of videos do not play, .avi, wmv, Mp4 ,MPEG, etc... ?

Yes Windows media player, VLC, Chrome, Windows Edge. Its even worse there are multiple things that won't open now. Music won't play.
Steam won't start. Shows it starts in Task manager then nothing happens and then it disappears from Task manager
Microsoft Edge browser won't close without using Task manager.
GMail freezes chrome browser even with no videos on the page.
AVG interface wouldn't close at all. Even with Task manager it just would say not responding when I tried to End Process. Had to uninstall to get it off my page.

I have run Spybot, Malwarebytes, Windows Defender, AVG. Looking for viruses or Malware with no joy. I don't know what's going on
Is it even possible to reinstall Windows 10? It was Free so how does that work??

Thinking till i read end of your post, when did you do the upgrade to Windows 10, was this what you did or did buy PC with it on it. Can never be positive clean install of Windows 10 will solve an issue if not sure what is causing it, especially if hardware.

Not sure if ever updated system drivers from your manufacturer's site, because do not know if it also came with Win 10 or if you upgraded from Win 7,8, 8.1. If upgraded past 30 days, no going back to older OS unless have an image or a disc for that.

Want to try a clean install or reset will wipe all software and settings, try even an inplace repair upgrade which will not loose anything i can link them to you, that is your decision first to do and make sure all is backed up first on an external device.

Other choice for now can try a system file checker and DISM see if it repairs anything.
(Admin) Command Prompt copy and paste this ,press enter, let it finish
    sfc /scannow

Same open command prompt copy and paste this and press enter, let it finish
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

reboot PC after, may need to try them few times as directed and reboot after to try to fix all files if they are corrupt and reasons for your issues.
