No tooltips appear

I am having the same issue. Restarting explorer worked for now. From what I remember it sometimes works after a reboot, but over time (multiple sleep/wake cycles) stops working again.

Is there an official way to submit these problems to Microsoft? I'm glad to have this resource (this forum), but I'm curious how microsoft learns about the problems to work on them.

The fix has already stopped working. I put my laptop to sleep, and when it 'woke up' it still worked.

30 minutes later, without doing much more than typing in Word, it's no longer working.

the solution for the issue from the link above (the registry edit) worked for me in this case too, tooltips are still here after restarting windows... two flies with one hit :)
