You can look and see if GWX shows up in control panel in windows updates.

It doesn't seem likely that I will get the Windows 10 Icon. I will try with the Media Tool Creator once again. But before that please tell md how do I delete previous files that may have been left while attempting the update. I want to run the tool with a clean slate so that i don't encounter any more problems! Thanks!

Give it a couple of days, and see if it comes, some people had to wait & others it came right away. In the mean time you can use the forums search here and at Eight forums and read the different threads on the subject(if you have the time and want too

). But I'm warning you, there are a bunch of them

Just run windows Disk cleanup and the previous command I gave you(2nd on) and reboot.
