Information when hovering is distorted with black squares

The pop up information when hovering over an icon and in some files is unreadable in Win 10. See screen images.

Thanks for the tip, but the updated driver did not solve the problem.

    Thanks for replying

After the above mentioned driver update, that did not correct my problem, I found the next version update and that one did not improve the problem. Then I found what seems to be the very last version issued and this one seems to have solved the problem I was dealing with. So I'll mark this thread as solved.

I was wrong. At 8:15 est I restarted the computer to install updates now its't right back to were I can't read drop down menus to select the options I need. I'm totally lost as to how to solve this. Any ideal will be appreciated.

I have discovered that when the computer is restarted this problem continues, but when the computer is powered off and then restarted the problem is gone. So anytime after a restart is required I power off and reboot.
Still like to know why a restart is creating this.

Yesterday when I hovered over an icon I got a window that gave me basic information like the size of the image that the icon is reflecting. I use this a lot since I am often getting duplicate images but have various differences like image size. Some how I turned that off yesterday. now when I hover over an icon nothing is displayed. I have tried several searches with no success. Please help if you can.

I just discovered another issue. I used to be able to edit the text below the icon. I could remove unwanted text like the second line of text of the 1904 image and see all the text which was cut short in the 1905 image.

I used to be able to edit the text below the icon.
Select the icon, right click and select Rename or press F2. Either should allow you to rename/change the text.

Please fill out your System Specs: See here: System Specs - Fill in at Ten Forums
The more information you can provide the better.

Are you running at the right resolution for the video card and monitor?

Thank you for the response! I will have to find out the specs. My C drive is a solid state that my son gave me and had a well recommended computer shop install it. I will try to find out what is what with this machine. What I had previously was much simpler than pressing F2. When I hovered over an icon 3 lines of text appeared giving me information about the icon's picture. Also all I had to do was click on the text and I could edit the text.
