UEFI bios enabled but no secure boot on windows 10?

So i had secure boot up and running on my windows 8.1 machine after a clean install, but now since microsoft upgraded me to windows 10 it seems as my secure boot is off again, but it's enabled in my bios is so weird, it's enabled in bios but off in windows 10? Is not much of a big deal to me in a since but just wondering why it still shows as on in bios but off in windows 10.

Just out of curiosity, do you in fact have a UEFI installation?

I'm not sure what the best way is to tell, but I have a UEFI installation, and it shows an EFI partition in Disk management.

How can you tell if secure boot is on or off in Windows 10?

I would go with what is showing in the Bios. If it says that the secure boot keys are loaded then it is on. I'm running the insider build and under System info it says secure boot is unsupported, but it is on and the keys are loaded in my UEFI BIOS. I think this is what the OP is saying. The only other thing that came to mind is if bitlocker was confused with secure boot, they are totally different. To check system info WIN + R type msinfo32 , hit OK.

    This is a partial listing.

I have an ASUS board, so the way the menus are setup are probably different. On mine, in the boot tab I scroll down to secure boot and if I click on that, it says that the keys are loaded. that's the important part. You might want to check the MSI page for your MOBO to see how to check that in your BIOS. Out of curiosity, where was your listing showing secure boot set to off?

My system info shows secure boot unsupported. But it is on in the BIOS. I think that this glitch in system reporting has been around for a while...I'm out of ideas, Check in the BIOS and if it is reporting that secure boot is on (ASUS uses keys are loaded) , You should be fine. Secure boot is more a function of the MOBO not the OS older MOBO's don't have that option, even if they can run Win 10.
