I'm also one that has great fondness for the right tick on Start Flag.
It does amaze me that it took Microsoft so long to put all those things in such a simple place.
Watch them take it out in the final version.

Shhhhhhhhhhhh! They might hear you! I totally agree about the right click Start menu. Very useful, 10 scores a few more points from me with that one.

    Pinned

I pin the "Control Panel" to the Taskbar and pin a few selected options in the "Jump List".

So far from what I see of W-10 and what I think the finished product will be (????) I would by W-10.
I will not get rid of W-7 to use W-10. I will use both operating systems.
    I do not do upgrades.
I have already paid for W-7 and it's COA and will keep them for ever.
One does not have to get rid of 1 operating system to use a new operating system.
I try to remember compared to the hardware one has the operating system is cheap. Operating system don't wear out.
A little maintenance and updates you are good to go for a decade at least with a Windows operating system. If you so desire.

    To answer the question directly.
Yes I use W-10 every day and I also use W-7 every day.

Windows 98, 98SE, XP Pro are still in their little plastic houses in my desk in case I get a fart crosswise and decide to install them on something. One never knows.
It will be a long time before I put W-7 in the rest home in my desk. I will just get W-7 a little buddy called W-10 to hang out with.

Well you do if you buy an upgrade license. I bought the cheap 7 to 8 upgrade so I can't use 7 anymore. Currently I'm not using any licence as I upgraded to 10 and have not used anything else since it was available.

    From my post #115

    I do not do upgrades.
That is one reason I don't do upgrades.
I'm have no intentions of loosing a completely good operating system and it's COA over the small saving you get with a upgrade.

I still use it every day, just not whole day. Have few precious (read that expensive) programs like MS Office and just can't take chances to loose license or bother transferring it if anything goes wrong and it will.

Welcome to 10f, indianacarnie. It's good to have you aboard.

Just for the record. The Context Menu was introduced in the 8 series as a Modern UI feature. I should think they will keep it in 10.

Very much like your sig BTW. Big fan of Nietzsche. :)

Ok.. Here are my thoughts .. well in addition to any that I've already shared on this topic.

First off I have Win10TP 9860 as a dual boot along with Win8.1.1 and I mostly use Win10 and now seldom go back to use Win8.x. At this point I feel safe enough to use Win10 as a daily OS but I still go back to use Win8 when I have to do any online tasks that would involve any banking activities. Checking my balance or paying bills online due to possible security issues.

But that's only at the beginning of the month for a few days and I still only use Win8 for a few hours at most.
While there are still issues with Win10 and it's very early on in it's development cycle it's really nice IMO. I really do like the new start menu because I'm a desktop user and it fits my needs perfectly. Well, so far it does.

Some may not like it but there is still Start8 and Classic Shell as a fall back and they do work fine in Win10. Oh, and I use Classic Shell in Win8.

    That's it for now..

    Jeff :)
