    Control Panel

I hope someone can assist me.

I upgraded to Win 10 and when I go to the Control Panel, by default it opens as Large icons. I change it to Category as that is how I want it to open but it keeps on defaulting back to what I don't want.

    Very frustrating

Open the control panel and choose view "Category".

Then add a shortcut on desktop : open it...........it should stay in Category View

    Hello Eddie,

If you like, you can use the tutorial below to set Control Panel to always open in category view.

You could also use the tutorial below to create a Control Panel shortcut that will always open in category view.
