Aero for Windows 10 very cool

It has always been a choice. You just have to find a working 3rd party theme. :)

I'll be trying out 10 by the weekend. Just too busy at the moment. I want to add my two cents worth. I have a fairly powerful machine, spent a lot of money on it both to purchase and to tinker/upgrade. Yes, its a laptop. My machine has never had any problems with a slow boot or slow anything for that matter. I love the Aero effects and would like to see them incorporated back into the O.S.. I spend a lot of time working in front to my screen and would prefer something "pretty" to look at in that time. If I have to use a third party program to do this I will (providing I move to 10 of course). Thanks for posting the screenshot. I agree that it isn't the "prettiest" but is an improvement (imho of course). I cannot understand why this (Aero) is not at least an option for those of us who 1. Like it , 2. Have the power to make it worthwhile , 3. Want it. Not all of us Windows users are on phones or tablets or use underpowered machines.

That's the way it is. Anything that is built for speed had to take some "load" off. Not everyone can afford a fast, mean machine. I guess the logic there is if you can buy an expensive machine, you can also buy your own eye candy stuff to install.

We did and it is called Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate. Windows 10 better have Aero or I for one will not be handing over cash. I'll stay with 7 and my dual boot 8.1 Pro (looks like 7 as best as possible). I have the powerful graphics card and I would like the eye candy in 7 transferred over to 10. If anything PC's are even more powerful now that they were when 7 came out in Oct 2009, certainly the graphics sections are.

The point is for the options to be present by default,
With those options you can turn Off all of the super slide crap if you want to along with the shadows....
It's basic customization which makes Zero sense to be removed and leaving people to third party's to get the options,

My first thought with win-8 was to wait for the hacking to begin this shouldn't be the way an user picks and installs an "upgrade" os :)

7 was great out of the box
So the surface can't handle all aero effect = so what my laptop can and it's old

Aero / glass was sacrificed for battery life desktops don't have battery issue

No. Windows with Aero theme was always faster rather then without it, because it used GPU, I did a few tests to confirm it, when deciding, if I should use Aero on 7. Today many applications use GPU as well including a browser, because of that, Aero just added a nice smoothness to the user experience.

Pro and Ultimate are actually slower then Home Premium, because they have more processes, which cause more CPU/RAM/HDD usage. I have never understood, why gamers were buying Ultimate.
