If you change the feedback to MS to "None" it will not work. If you change it back to "Automatic" or "Full" then you are OK.
If you run some little script to stop MS "spying" on you then your "insider" status will be invalidated. As an insider you agree to MS "spying" on you. That is the deal. Specifically sending them (the limited) information you agreed to when you signed up.
I changed the feedback to full but it makes no difference to the red message.
Well I am not an 'insider' but a normal Win10 user. Not sure why you put the word "spying" in full quotes as though they are not really spying on us. Because they REALLY are spying on us. To suggest otherwise comes across as rather disengenuous. There are 3 pages of spying options that one has to uncheck to stop Microsoft taking all manner of information from our computers. It is pretty outrageous that they added all this spyware in Windows 10. And I am not an anti-microsoft user at all. I don't write MS as 'M$' but I do think these spying options should not be activated as default at install time. Personal information is the latest money-making craze in the commercial world and Microsoft seem to have bought into this rubbish. A few years ago Google streeview were shamed for recording all WiFi information that was password-unprotected. They had no reason to do this and the only people who would find such details of use are hackers and dubious types. But they created a massive database of UK non-passworded personal WiFis anyway. Microsoft are bordering on this sort of dubious behaviour with all these information gathering options. If they were put onto your PC via a website or third-party app you'd rightly call them trojans and virues. imho.
So I hope Microsoft will see sense and realise that privacy is going to be an important commodity in the 21st century.

Cortana is disabled by company policy?
Note this is around August...
And here are the group policy instructions: (Group policy editor is not available to home users)
- Search and open gpedit.msc
- Locate Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Search
- Scroll down to Search and find "Allow Cortana". Right-click to "Edit"
- Disable
- Search the Command Prompt with elevated privileges by right-clicking and "Run as Administrator"
- Execute gpupdate /force in the Command Prompt.
- Go to Task Manager and end the "Cortana" task.
- Cortana is disabled as a matter of company policy and will not run in the background, even when disabled.
- so here's the short registry equivalent
For Home Edition users that may not have Group Policy editor you can do this via the following registry key:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search
Value: AllowCortana
Change to 0 to Disable Cortana, 1 to Enable.
You may have to reboot for it to take effect.

I tried that fix and gpedit worked in the Home edition. Unfortunately, this caused sfc / scannow to run with errors which I don't like. I had to mount the AU ISO and run Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:wim:Full Path to install.wim file:1 option to enable sfc /scannow to run without errors.Hi,

That's quite likely due to a file version conflict.
Replacing gpedit.msc with a version corresponding to the W10 version of that machine should resolve this.
