Win 8.1 Start Screen option still active: "Show start on Sign-in"

No, as far as I know. The think is the exit is so fast, immediate, that the Start Menu has no time tp close. System processes your exit command (lock, sleep) immediately when you have selected it and suspends your user account, therefore the Start Menu remains open.

Please forgive me saying this but I cannot see how this could be an issue? Wake up the PC and continue working, the Start Menu closes when there's activity.

I just wanted to see if this was a bug. In Win 8.1, you could choose to see the desktop or start screen after signing in. I thought this was related and inquired about it here.

Never thought to ask if you were using sleep, hibernate if this is a cause.
