From what I've seen if there is a svchost request auto sleep doesn't work until a reboot to clear the request.

I'm using WTP as a VM, and don't use/want auto sleep for the VM.
VM auto sleep does not sleep the PC for me, just the VM OS ...
The HOST Win7 OS auto sleep works fine, and sleeps the PC as needed ... including the WTP VM ...
For anyone wanting auto-sleep I think the workaround/fix is to use some other AV than Windows Defender (WD).
That should end the daily Windows Update (WD definitions) that create the svchost requests preventing sleep ...
