    This is a windows 10 support forum, however i suggest you right click the desktop and select Personalize.

    In Vista you can show the Recycle Bin on the desktop by doing this in the Control Panel:

    Tutorial from Vista forum - may help.

    Depends what you did to make it disappear.
    If it happened recently- you could try using a suitable restore point.
