Windows 10 loops on repair

    Yup, you'll have lost all your personal data that wasn't backed up. Contacts, favourites, photos, music, downloaded files..

    If your external disk was empty, you should have had no problem creating the disk image on it.

    *** Could you clarify what you meant by the 3 disks? Did you mean partitions on your HDD in your PC?

    If so, what was the error message you got? Was it perhaps about reading the 3rd partition? I'm trying to read between the lines here. If it was a read problem, then you will need to resolve that.

    HELP! Turned on my computer this morning and it opens up to Macrium Refect window. I also have a command prompt window, Macrium reflect Windows PE and where I can explore my computer. NO DESKTOP.

    Hi, bearing in mind I don't use Macrium R, check- have you left the boot disk in? Some boot disks require you to press a key to boot from them, and if you don't, you're into Windows; some don't and boot up anyway.

    I've sent a message to their support and also posted on Sevenforum. Don't really like this, feels like my computer was hijacked.

    It saves the backup to disk. Will have to try it again once I get my desktop window back up.
