Windows Task Manager only displays the Details tab

    Hi guys,
I have a very weird problem with Windows 10.
I use the task manager a lot, and with Windows 10, I have this problem that at some unknown point, when I run task manager, it's begin displayed in a weird way, only displaying the "Details" tab. I don't know what's happening here, and sometimes, it decides to get back to its "normal" view and sometimes it doesn't!!!

    This is "normal" view:
Windows Task Manager only displays the Details tab-task_manager_normal.png

and this is the "weird" view:
Windows Task Manager only displays the Details tab-task_manager_weird.png

Btw, I noticed that if I press "Ctrl + Alt + Delete" and then choose "Task Manager", I see the "normal" view, but when I use the shortcut Ctrl + Shift + Escape, I randomly see the "normal" and "weird" ones...

Anybody facing the same issue, or knowing the solution (or at least the cause)?

    Thank you

I am currently having a similar issue, however I get the details tab only task manager view every time I use the Ctrl+Shift+Escape shortcut and the regular task manager if I either click the task bar and open task manager that way or if I use Ctrl+Alt+Delete and open it that way. Any further information on this would be greatly appreciated as I cannot seem to find much more about this anywhere online. Thank you.

Hi, can you try the same in Safe Mode and post that, and in normal mode, run these routine checks:

    From an admin command prompt
[Windows key + X, click command prompt (admin)]
    chkdsk C: /F
Your PC will need to restart.
Make sure the result is clear or fixed- else do not proceed.
Post back the result, which you can get after a restart as follows:
How do I see the results of a CHKDSK that ran on boot? - Ask Leo!

Then from an admin command prompt run
    sfc /scannow
    and post the summary result
