As long as it not configured
    Ctrl+SHIFT+F3
should bring you to AUDIT where you can configure, add a new USER and a Dummy User with MS-Account.
There you can check also the WiFi Environment (Wi-Fi 5(802.11ac) (Dual band) 1*1)
But all that might be a little different when you have a "HOME" edition.
I've tried it right now. the result seems to be adjusting the volume (I guess it makes sense, because on the F3 key there is an icon of a loudspeaker), unfortunately, nothing else.

    Ctrl+SHIFT+F3 at the same time
Otherwise call the ASUS Hotline or send it back.

Connect automatically is wrong because it is not configured
You can also check the Router settings

Might be wrong here but I think this laptop is one of those with Windows S-mode and an eMMC drive? If so CMD won't be available.
Personally, and just my humble opinion, I would send it back for a refund - but that's just me.

First, thank you all for your help and goodwill. I did what I had to do on the first place - I've googled "how to force restart on Asus laptop". the answer was to press the power button for 10 seconds. I felt such a fool! I did just that and indeed it started the setup process from the beginning, this time to full completion. so far, so good! ah, and the OS is WIN11.
    Once again, thank you all.
