Stop win10 from ever mirroring displays as the default option

I do not want my external display mirrored, ever. It's a useless feature.
That is the default option when connection an external display. Annoying have to reset it every time.

Have you tried these other options? I use "Extend".

Right now my browser is open on my primary display and I'm watching an X-Files episode VLC Media Player), (stored on hard drive), on my 2nd display (LG TV).

This setting doesn't change, unless I change it.

    Press the Windows key +P
Select Extend, this will extend the desktop to the secondary monitor.
These changes shouldn't change after a reboot.

This can be a recurring problem, if you switch the external display for a reason (ie. laptop).

There is no GPO or (easy) registry setting, for enforcing the same default mode. Some users suggest creating a Scheduled Task that runs on whenever Windows starts, or every logon, which runs:
    Code:
    C:\Windows\System32\DisplaySwitch32.exe /internal

that is what I do, but every time I connect a new monitor, or a new setup, it is back to mirroring the displays. So it does occur a few times per year.
It does not change for the life of the existing setup, that is correct. Still kind of annoying. It's the most useless "feature", I have never used the duplicate monitors setting nor do I foresee ever needing it. Not even when in a conference room giving presentation.

I am not understanding what this does. It does not mention "extend" which is what I want.

Then change the DisplaySwitch argument to one of /internal, /clone, /extend, or /external
