Got 2 problems with IDM and show in folder

Hi everyone, I was trying to move my appdata folder to drive D as I was running low on space in my 128GB of SSD drive. Luckily I found AOMEI partition Assistant Pro to move the Appdata Folder safely but instead I moved some apps to drive D, IDM was not among them but as my moving the appdata folder operation was cancelled (I was using another app and click cancelled after a couple of secs) since then I cannot download anything with IDM, it gives an error "Cannot Transfer the download to IDM" Error Code: "0x80070005". I even tried removing and reinstalling IDM latest trial so many times, removed and reinstalled the firefox extension too, even tried in Edge browser but it gives the same error.

The 2nd problem I have is: When I download something in any browser and press Ctrl+J right click the file in the downloads list and click show in folder, nothing happens as well. Tried different browsers and got the same result.

So do I need to repair the window, or leave these problems alone? Thanks.

The appdata folder needs to be on the C: drive. You can move Microsoft Apps to a different drive, but none of this is recommended.
I would try a System Restore to a time before you attempted this.

Of course as we preach here constantly, if you made a System Image file that you saved to an External HDD of your computer before editing it, you could easily restore this and be back where you started.

If you have no image backup or System Restore doesn't work, you can do a Repair Install/In Place Upgrade.
Or you if your User files (ie) Downloads, Documents, Desktop etc are on another drive, you can do a Clean install on the drive that has Windows on it, and Change the Location of the User files, to the coinciding folder on the other drive.

If doing a Repair Install, when you read the link in Post #2 and scrolled down to Step #13 You have the option to Reinstall Keeping Files. (ie) all User files, Games saves, Installed 3rd party apps and games etc. Or doing a Clean Install.

You haven't said, but since you are worried about space on C:\ I assume you have already moved the Location of the C:\User\UserName Files, including your Game Saves to another drive. If so, you can do a Clean Install of Windows and not loose any of your User Files and Game Saves as they are on a different drive. You will need to reinstall any 3rd party apps and games

To repair keeping files, Press the Windows key +I to open Settings. Go to Recovery/Reset This PC/Keep My Files.

Thanks man, I've only moved the downloads, documents and desktop folders to drive D, but as you know some game files are stored inside ProgramData, Local, Roaming, Appdata folders and they are still in the C drive. Also I don't want to do a clean install as then I'll have to reinstall all the apps again.
