In the latest version of Microsoft Edge, where are the password saved?

I have the latest version of Microsoft Edge installed on win10.
Although its very simple, I can't find where Microsoft Edge allows one to add or delete the website, username and password.
Firefox is easier. I've searched google and it says settings->Profile->password for Msoft Edge.

However, there is no such password selection other than the one in wallet which has nothing to do with me saving my website url , the username and password associated with it. Not sites associated with buying stuff. So info returned by google is invalid now.

Please list the exact steps to get to the spot where I can enter my website url , the username and password, so I can login without having to enter it everytime.

    Edge password manager?
How to Find Saved Passwords on Microsoft Edge

    Maybe that will help.

A better solution is to use a 3rd party password manager. Vaild across all/most browsers, and potentially across devices from PCs to phones.

Plus no problems of lost passwords should your disk die, for example, or problems trying to recover them from an unbootable PC.

without having to enter it everytime
Some sites (not all) retain your login status in a cookie. E.g. tenforums.

I understand the cookie part, but all my browsers, firefox, chrome and MSoft have the settings such it deletes all history and cookies upon exist from the browser.
Also most browsers sync info between them, but it doesn't appear to be working as expected probably because of different login accounts used for each computer and the browsers installed on each one.
Why does this occur, because one laptop is used for work and company email address and another for personal home use and a different email address. Thus for my online accounts for work and home need to be separate due to work policies etc.

I use MSoft very rarely, and rely on firefox. So the situation that occurred for me is, logging into citrix desktop at work all of sudden wouldn't let me using firefox which only had been working a few days earlier. It uses saved username/passwords for that website that I've had no problems for quite a long time (years). So using firefox allowed me in, and today its a no. I took a guess to try MSoft Edge as a last resort. At the login prompt it popped up the username/password to enter. Of course my info isn't saved for that website for MSoft Edge. I entered it, and wala, I can get to the citrix desktop. However, the website, username and password didn't ask to save it in MSoft Edge. It's the same info in firefox.

Hence, I tried to find in settings where this info can be entered and to activate "ask me to save username/password" for future websites. Searching google it said to enter it under profile in password, but as mentioned above, it is no longer correct and I couldn't find it.

Now, why does firefox work one day and not the next. Well, on the day I tried to login I couldn't, but a few days earlier I could. So what changed? I looked at the various firefox versions that were installed and saw in its update history, that the day before I couldn't log in, that it had updated to a new version and going back to see what the version was on the day I could log in, I saw the following under Settings->General-> "show update history".

Cause: on 4/18/24 it updated to 125.0.1 and I could access Citrix desktop on 4/20/24.
On 4/24/24, I couldn't access citrix desktop since the day before on 4/23 and up to now it has updated multiple times to newer versions.
Thus, I don't know why it can't use my saved username/password for that website correctly that has worked for years.
