Is anyone here still using Windows 10, Build 19045.4170 22h2

    Good Afternoon,

I am just curious if anyone is still using Windows 10, Build 19045.4170 22h2 64 bit?

Are you able to successfully connect your Android phone via the USB port and transfer files?

Thank You and have a nice day,

Yes, of course. It's the latest build. The only way you are going to be on a later build is if you are on one of the Insider builds or have installed the late-March optional Preview Cumulative Update.

    Yes.

The version of Windows 10 or 11 will not matter when connecting your Android Phone by USB Charging cable.

Unlock your phone. When you first plug in the charging cable to the computer, you should get a message on the phone to Trust This Device. Once you click OK, the phone should come up as another drive in File (Windows) Explorer, and you can browse it and you can copy files from the phone to the computer or Verse Visa

If having problems, follow option #2 in this link Transfer files between your computer & Android device - Android Help

Usually when I plug in the usb it will immediately open a new file explorer window and show the name of my phone in the file explorer , now it recognizes the usb, but it doesnt show up in file manager. "transfer files" mode was selected on the phone

    Remedies I tried:

    1. Ran updates on device manager , it shows Ss Galaxy has the most up to date drivers but there is a yellow triangle

    2. Installed Samsung Galaxy drivers from the Samsung website

    3. Works fine on my roommates laptop

    What else should I try?

When you right click the device in the Device Manager with the Yellow Triangle, what does it say?
Are you plugging this phone into a USB Hub?

Right click the device with the yellow triangle in Device Manager, and Uninstall it. Now unplug the USB cable from the Computer End.
Restart the computer. When the computer restarts, open Device Manager back up.
Now Plug the phones USB charging cable into the Back USB port (desktop) not the front or through a USB Hub. Or a different USB port if using a laptop.
If you don't get the Yellow triangle, the device should be in File Explorer.

It is not plugged into a usb hub.

The yellow triangle was not on the "Ss Galaxy ADB"

Check the photo I attached: 20240402-223857 hosted at ImgBB — ImgBB

If you look on the right above processors you will see 'MTP' with a yellow triangle, I tried to update the drivers for that it said " Windows couldn't find the drivers for your device"

I also did the unplugging, plugging back in thing.
