Thank You!
Still OK, but I'll give it a few days.
If this is really fixed now, I suspect the correct fix was the C++ thing all along, though the other attempted fixes don't seem to have hurt anything. Cortana in the Start Menu is still missing, but I'm 100% OK with that as long as there are no adverse side effects.
FWIW, this morning MS automatically re-installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable - x64 9.0.30729.6161.
We'll see.
Thanks to all who helped.
@Meeker Morgan How many VC++ programs(versions) do You have in installed in Programs and Features?
Note that certain programs need particular builds installed- it is perfectly normal to have multiple builds present as I expect you know.
Just a moment...
Think finally fix this issue, no errors guys. Let's hope.
Just checked same story MS S'hiet. The error just show after 4 hours after the update. This is kind of joke and nobody can help and the problem is so old as i see in the forums.
Store just updated itself in the background. It's a system component, but I think it's fishy that Windows has begun to update these without my consent. I hardly ever use the preinstalled UWP apps and I don't want excess "moving parts" in my system.
On another note I haven't seen the error anymore, but I've only used the startmenu recently to shut down, so maybe the crash won't have time to get logged, or maybe it's just random.
